Racing team
While much of our emphasis is on riding for the pure enjoyment of it, there is nothing like the crucible of racing to test our products and ourselves to the limit. Here's a rundown of the team, check out the blog for the latest results and upcoming events. All of the Singular clan are friendly and approachable folks, so if you see us out at the races please say hello and we'll be happy to chat and give you a spin on one of our bikes.

Steve Webb
The top rider on the Singular team, an Englishman and a gentleman. His quiet, reserved manner belies immense reserves of power and stamina. 2009 was a breakthrough season for Steve, with wins in the Torq in your Sleep 12 hour enduro, Bristol Bikefest enduro and numerous other top placings throughout the season. Steve mostly rides a Pegasus singlespeed and rigid, but has been dabbling with some gears for 2010.

Sam Alison
An Australian by birth and upbringing, though now living in the UK, Sam is the owner and operator of Singular Cycles so of course has immediate inclusion in the team. Races mostly dirt, with mixed results, not too shabby on a good day! Was over the moon to win the Mayhem SS team category in '09. Mostly rides a singlespeed Gryphon, can also be seen on a Swift at times, and more recently on a new Pegasus. |

Gareth Jones
One of the true all-rounders of the Singular team, Gareth will ride anything with two wheels, and even one if need be. He'll ride it very fast as well. He's had some very strong results in 2010, including 4th at SSUK, top 10 at the Kielder 100, and part of the 4th place Singular team at the Bontrager 24/12. On the constant search for newer, lighter, better parts; he's the owner of probably the lightest and prettiest Pegasus on the planet. |

Dom Perry
Never far behind Steve, he has the deserved apellation of 'Fast Dad'. Dom has had a great season being an integral part of the winning Singular Mountain Mayhem singlespeed team, as well as the second place overall trio at 10 under Kirroughtree. He generally rides a singlespeed Swift but has recently received a geared Kite 'cross proto, on which he was fourth at the 'Muddy Hell' Halloween night 'cross race at Herne Hill, London. |

Grant Taylor
Not the fastest of the bunch, well in fact usually the slowest, Grant is nevertheless a test rider extraordinaire. Before joining the Singular team he owned an incredible string of classic mountain bikes and as such has an innate ability to identify minor tweaks to frame design which make a great difference to our finished products. He was the main driving force behind the development of the Hummingbird and is currently enjoying testing his new Kite. Always cheery and upbeat, he's an invaluable man to have around. |

Dan Treby
A new-comer to Team Singular for 2010, Dan has quickly proven to be a huge asset to the team - taking wins in the singlespeed classes at the Bristol Bikefest 12 hour solo, and at the Kielder 100. Kielder was especially impressive as he continued on after crashing heavily 40 miles in, the resulting injuries requiring a stay in hospital after he finished. He truly is a tough northerner, well, more northern and tough than the rest of us. |

Josh hails from the often frigid climes of Minnesota, USA, as you can see from this picture of him in the 2010 Minnesota state Cyclocross championships where he took 5th in the singlespeed class. He's been riding strongly on his Gryphon throughout the 2010 season |

Dayle flies the Singular flag south of the equator, and he flies it very high indeed. One of New Zealand's top XC mountain bike racers, he's a regular fixture on the podium in the NZ national series. He had his sights firmly set on SSWC 2010 this year though due to a less than ideal start he was playing catch up all the way, though still clawed his way into the top 20. He's now on board a Pegasus rather than the Hummingbird shown here, and has certainly been putting it through its paces, with a recent second place at the Hanmer Spring Crusher. |

Singular's representative on the US west coast, Isais rides and races his Swift and now a new Kite in San Francisco and surrounds. Never far off the pace if not at the front, he can also always be relied on for a beer and burrito after the ride. Currently recovering from a nasty crash at SSWC'09, he hopes to be back in shape to take in a final few 'cross races of the season. |

MurphyKate Montee
The youngest and most feminine of the Singular gang, MurphyKate is probably also the classiest. With a US National Championship under her belt at the tender age of 16 and domination of her regional races throughout the mid-west she has a bright future ahead of her. She rides a very special custom Gryphon from Reynolds 853 Pro Team tubing - always singlespeed, always drops. MurphyKate is studying at Notre Dame university and is looking forward to getting another very special Singular, this time a titanium road bike.

The newest (and also oldest) member of the Singular clan, Charlie hails from Connecticut, USA and had some great success in winning the Root 66 Cat 1 Men's 40-49 series Championship in 2009. He's been racing his Swift all over New England in 2010 with some fantastic results including a very impressive third overall in Cat 1 SS of the Root 66 series, despite missing a few races mid-season due to a broken thumb. He's now taking on the first 'cross races of his life on board a Kite. Charlie keeps his entertaining blog regularly updated here.
