PEGASUS

After two years in development, the Pegasus has arrived. We have taken the proven and much lauded Swift geometry and style and created one of the finest 29" wheel mountain bike frames available.

The highly regarded titanium specialist Nevi produce the frames for us from a select blend of 3Al 2.5V grade 5 titanium tubing. Little known outside continental Europe, they have a 25 year history of producing the Ti models of many a high end Italian (and other) brand, as well as under their own marque. Nevi employ a number of unique production techniques in creating these frames, including use of an argon filled chamber in which frames are welded to ensure no oxyxgen contamination.

From mitring tubing, through welding, to the final finsihing of the frame meticulous attention to detail evident. Applying the logo is also unique, not just a stick on decal, a 'bronze photoengraving' process is used, becoming part of the frame - simply stunning as well as extremely durable.

Their proximity to us and small scale operation offer us production flexibility and shorter delivery times enabling a degree of customisation to your needs. The overall construction quality is on a par with any high-end titanium frame manufacturer - these truly are some of the finest 29er frames in existence.

Geometry is exactly the same as that of the Swift, with the exception that it is designed around a shorter fork to better match with current suspension forks and carbon rigid forks.  Detailed geometry drawings are available on the Pegasus Flickr page (click the gallery below). There is ample clearance for up to 2.3" tyres and depending on rim you may squeeze in bigger than that.

Options are available - whether a straight geared race frame, a singlespeed, or one that can go either way. Choose from a Phil Wood half-link eccentric bottom bracket or standard british threaded 68mm bb shell. Brake cable routing only or full gear cable stops. Should you have ideas for other customisation you desire I'm happy to discuss possibilities.

Warranty on these frames will be a limited lifetime against manufacturing or product defects for the original owner.

Ordering process is a little different from the rest of the range. The Pegasus is not held as a stock item but produced to special order in very limited runs. The first production run has been a huge success, all customers have been very pleased with their frames. So to were Singletrack Magazine who recently reviewed the frame and gave it their coveted seal of recommendation. We are taking deposits on orders for the next run of frames up until the 21st of May, delivery of these frames will be in late June.

Price - The Pegasus frame is £1600 (inc. UK VAT), with a £500 deposit payable on an order being placed.

Use the paypal buttons below to make a deposit or send a mail if you'd like to pay by another method (cheque or bank transfer).
